Five new Italian AccorHotels openings in 2016: two 5 stars are arriving in Livorno and Polignano

The strong growth registered on a worldwide level by AccorHotels in 2016 is confirmed also in Italy, where the hotels of the Group register an increase in turnover by 4.1%, excellence performances of the online booking platform and five new openings

On an international level, the Group – which has marked a record of new openings, with 247 hotels and 81,000 rooms – has also redesigned its luxury hotels thanks to the acquisition of the group Fairmont Raffles Hotels, of the operator specialised in the rental of exclusive houses called onefinestay and of John Paul, worldwide leader in concierge services. A global growth and a positive trend that are valid also for Italy, where AccorHotels is confirmed to be the reference hotel operator of the market with 79 hotels in 37 destinations, for a total of 10,233 rooms.

2016 it collected a turnover of 251 million Euros, with an increase of 4.1% compared to the previous year even without the presence of Expo. In 2016 AccorHotels Italia has five new openings: apart from the collection of boutique hotels MGallery by Sofitel there was the addition of the Grand Hotel Palazzo Livorno, with six halls for 170 people, and the Borgobianco Resort & SPA Polignano (BA), with two meeting rooms for up to 150 places. In the midscale segment entered the Mercure Viareggio, 90 rooms along the strand, and the Mercure Pesaro with 117 rooms, whereas the ibis family increased with the new ibis Styles Bari Giovinazzo, only 10 minutes away from the airport with four meeting rooms for up to 130 delegates. The aim for 2017 are six new entries in the Italian portfolio.
