Fuorisalone 2017, the programme for Brera Design District has been presented: in Milan 170 events and 295 companies involved

For the occasion of the Fuorisalone 2017, held in Milan between the 4th and 9th April, Brera Design District will be at its eighth edition. The Milanese district, creative and commercial heart of the city, extends from the new area of Porta Nuova-Gae Aulenti to via Broletto, from via Legnano up to via Montenapoleone, following the borders defined by DUC Brera (Distretti Urbani del Commercio).

During the previous edition of the Fourisalone, Brera Design District hosted more than 168 events and 295 companies involved with a passage of over 250,000 people. The theme of the 2017 edition of Brera Design District is Designing is a game, playing is a project. Gaming becomes an occasion for design, particularly on the importance that gamification can have in the design of services and in the dynamics of interaction and communication between brand and client. 

“The week dedicated to design in April continues to grow in the city and within the whole metropolitan area of Milan. Opportunities for meetings and vitality in the area of design are increasingly attractive and attentive to promoting know-how and craftsmanship of designers. Brera Design District has been doing this for many years now, thanks to the unison work that creates synergy between the various historic and innovative souls of the district. The concentration of showrooms and spaces dedicated to design have the central idea the research and formation of professions that are careful to the promotion of the Made in Italy”, days the Assessor for Labour Policies, Productive Activities, Fashion and Design, Cristina Tajani.

“I am happy to renew even this year, for the fourth consecutive time, the close collaboration  between the Salone del Mobile and the Fuorisalone, sealed by the Local Council of Milan”, declared Roberto Snaidero Chairman of the Salone del Mobile Milano. “Our event is confirmed once again to be an important source for the Italian system thanks to its capacity of attracting to Milan operators, designers, buyers, journalists from all over the world. A distinctive sign that through the years has made the city the Capital of furniture design and of culture as announced by our advertising campaign Design is a state in itself. Milan is its capital city.”
