Hotel Palazzo Grillo opens on the 1st April in Genoa: it is the first four star in the historic centre
The first 4 stars in the historic centre of Genoa will debut officially on the 1st April – but it is no joke. The Hotel Palazzo Grillo in Piazza delle Vigne 4, an ancient and precious Rolli building. The charme and design hotel has 25 rooms, 5 of which are suites and junior suites, with common areas of great historic value.
The first floor of the palazzo, also, hosts an exhibition space of 300 metres squared for events and cultural happenings, that can be accessed even through an independent entrance. A UNESCO heritage since 2006, reports Genova24, the Palazzo has been restored to be used as a hotel by Arte, a company of the Regione Liguria, by the architect Enrico Pinna, and given to the management through public tender to a privates, Matteo Paini and Laura Sailis, who already manage Le Nuvole – a historic residence on the fourth floor of Palazzo Lamba Doria right next to Palazzo Grillo.
This experience gave rise to the wish and enthusiasm of managing this new space that unites design furnishing and a different conception of hospitality with an informal style in a sophisticated environment. “Hospitality is the most important value for Hotel Palazzo Grillo”, say its managers. “We wish to make those who choose to stay in a hotel with such a strong history and beauty, feel at ease”.
