Incoming, Americans want Rome and Milan: this is confirmed by IMEX of Las Vegas
The promotional activity by the Convention Bureau Italia continues in full blast. Thanks to the participation at Imex America and to the M&I Forum Emerging Markets, the CBI was able to meet over 100 buyers during only the month of October. Already shared are the lists with all the partners of the network.
Particularly, important signals have arrived from the event Imex America, held in Las Vegas from the 18th to the 20th October. The Convention Bureau Italia participated occupying, as usual, the position at the reception desk at the Italia Stand, confirming the synergy that has been created between CBI and ENIT and that sees the two realities aligned in terms of communication and promotional activities, allowing to improve further the perception that international clients have of Italy as a destination.
20% of the buyers met has generated a request already taken into consideration by the staff of the CBI that, also thanks to the immediate follow-up tool, assures a monitoring and a structured management of all the requests received during the course of fairs and events to which CBI participates. Requests that confirm the interest of buyers mainly in the destinations of Rome and Milan where, even due to a lack of a local Convention Bureau, the CBI is often perceived as the access point to the destination.
Tobia Salvadori, Sales & Marketing Manager of the Convention Bureau Italia declared: “The conditions for the participation at Imex America were excellent, with our appointment diary being totally booked. American buyers continue to look at destination Italy with great interest, so much so that we are organising two of our workshops in New York and Washington DC precisely with the aim of approaching the market in a more proactive way. Even the participation at M&I Forum of Tallin it has surely been a success. We have met high level buyers coming mainly from Eastern Europe who have showed an interest in destination Italia.”
