Turin is a major business city and cultural centre in northern Italy, capital of the Piedmont region, located mainly on the left bank of the River Po and surrounded by the Alpine arch. The city has a rich culture and history: it is well known for its baroque, rococo, neo-classical, and Art Nouveau architecture.

The Langhe (Langa derives from the old dialect Mons Langa et Bassa Langa) is a hilly area to the south and east of the river Tanaro in the Province of Cuneo in Piedmont, northern Italy. It is famous for its wines, cheeses, and truffles, particularly the white truffles of Alba.
