Turin is a major business city and cultural centre in northern Italy, capital of the Piedmont region, located mainly on the left bank of the River Po and surrounded by the Alpine arch. The city has a rich culture and history: it is well known for its baroque, rococo, neo-classical, and Art Nouveau architecture.

The city currently hosts some of Italy’s best universities and prestigious and important cultural venues, such as the Mole Antonelliana. In 2008 Turin gained “3 Michelin Stars” and has been defined by the Michelin Guide as a “city not to be missed”. The city boasts 42 museums, spanning from the Egyptian Museum to the National Museum of Cinema, passing through many museums dedicated to contemporary art, and treasures of major historical and architectural interest that are listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites: for example, the Royal Residences of Piedmont.
The Langhe (Langa derives from the old dialect Mons Langa et Bassa Langa) is a hilly area to the south and east of the river Tanaro in the Province of Cuneo in Piedmont, northern Italy. It is famous for its wines, cheeses, and truffles, particularly the white truffles of Alba.
