Birth of the largest, 100% Italian, hotel complex: Atahotels and Una Hotels now belong to the same property
There is a new, main 100% Italian hotel complex, result of the acquisition of Una Hotels by UnipolSai, the group that already controls Atahotels. Following the operation, the national leader of Italian hospitality has been created, with a portfolio that counts on 43 four and five star facilities, resorts, hotels and apartments in 25 destinations: in the city, in the countryside, by the sea or on the mountain, for a total of 5,500 rooms. The total turnover amounts to about 120 million Euros.
To conclude the acquisition, UnipolSai – the first announcements go back to about a year and a half ago – paid a total fee of about 288 million Euros, 29 million Euros of which were for the hotel management and 259 million Euros for the estate portfolio. The group offers facilities in locations such as Milan, Venice, Florence, Rome, Forte dei Marmi, Madonna di Campiglio and Taormina.
Many of the complexes of the two brands are business oriented: for example Atahotel Expo Fiera, the largest conference hotel close to the new fair complex of Milano Rho-Pero, the Hotel Principi di Piemonte 5 stars with six meeting rooms and up to 250 places in the centre of Turin or the UNA Hotel Regina in Bari, the elegant facility with 12 halls with a plenary that can host 700 people.
