JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa, new look for meetings on the private island
New year, new look for the JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa, which reveals the news for 2017. The resort – under restoration during the winter period – from the 15th March presents itself with a larger swimming pool and above all with a completely renewed meeting room.
The Venice Ballroom in the Conference Center of the hotel has been in fact redesigned: restored by the multi-award winning architect Matteo Thun, who took care of the entire project of the JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa, the contemporary design of the Ballroom follows the warm tones of the Mediterranean, with the intention of recreating the interior of a ship. Full of natural light, the new space is capable of hosting up to 380 guests for conferences and conventions. Another interesting (and good) change for 2017, tasty also for the MICE segment, the JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa will host various celebrity chefs for a series of exclusive dinners at the gourmet restaurants Dopolavoro. Guests will have the possibility of trying three dishes by a chef and three by the starred resident chef of Dopolavoro Federico Belluco. One of the youngest and most talented Italian chefs, Belluco received a Michelin star in 2015 at only 27 years of age. The chefs that have already been confirmed include Giancarlo Perbellini (Casa Perbellini, 2 Star Michelin Chef), Terry Giacomello (L’Inkiostro, 1-star Michelin Chef) and Marco Sacco (Piccolo Lago, 2 stars Michelin Chef).
The General Manager Enrique Tasende emphasised: “The 2017 season promises to be great, we are happy to be able to host our guests in such an important year for the city of Venice thanks to the organisation of the 57th International Arts Biennale of Venice. We will continue in fact to position the resort as a “must” luxury retreat of Venice”. Very elegant, the hotel offers 266 sophisticated rooms and suites, plus some villas siutated on a 16 hectare private villa, Isola delle Rose. The Venetian 5 stars is found a few minutes away from Piazza San Marco (can be reached with a private shuttle avaialble for clients) and offers a conference centre with different equipped rooms from 15 to 380 places).
